A Parable: Pleasures in a Parking Lot

During the night, a student went to his car and turned on all the lights and fans. He used them to allow him to study in a quiet place, comfortably and efficiently. He made much progress, and with his knowledge he could pass his History exam with his highest grade yet. However, when he went to turn his car on so that he might go find food, he could not. Stranded in the middle of a parking lot for a week and four days, he eventually ran out of trail mix and water, and subsequently died.

In his notebook, the following words were found: "I neglected the important things, and spent all I had on my pleasures instead."
